Hmph, a plain storygame with setting of realism like war in somewhere can be kind of boring and not that interesting to people. My next storygame is probably a fictional war or timeline set in 2018 or 2020. It's kind of like world war 3 between 2-3 or more factions.
But I'm bored with the realistic appearance and stuff. So, don't be surprised if it has people with rose-colored hair and more female soldiers. The chain of command and stuff will be so different from real life too. I think it will be categorized as sci-fi. But most of the weapons and technology are nowadays technology.
And again... you'll play as a character that resembles Lightning from Final Fantasy.
Got me thinking, you'll play as a child at first. Then, the story continues on until you become a soldier. And about the main character, she was born in Europe (yup, she's originally European but she works for US Army later), where her nation got invaded by a faction, either it's the Russians or mercenaries, I dunno.
It will have RPG elements too. It's kinda like Mass Effect and Final Fantasy with modern battlefield stuff.
Interesting characters are one of the keys to an interesting storygame. The appearance are based on Final Fantasy and anime faces. Will you find it interesting?
In the prologue, you'll play as a girl named.... hmm, I dunno. The MC is probably French or German. In 2001 or 2002, the Russians or mercenaries attacked Europe, causing chaos. She was still a kid.... and almost got killed during the battlefield. The MC will soon get saved by a US Army Ranger.
Years later, it turned out that she got adopted by an American and ends up in the US Army. Then, this is where the story of her begins.
There are factions in the game. She belongs to the NATO faction. You'll be attacking enemy outposts and capturing towns, and guarding them. While you guard towns and other places, you can explore the place and do stuff or quests for people.
Either helping local civilians, soldiers, doing people favor, etc. You'll be using an assault rifle and a handgun most of the time. But other weapons can be used. Sometimes, you can't use guns in certain situations and restricted to melee.
Yeah, it's like world war 3. But with more RPG elements. I'll edit this post later.
