I hate that so fucking much. Pretty much most of, if not all of the characters in New Vegas are killable, so why are almost all of the NPCs in Skyrim unkillable? Seriously, there's this one guy in banded iron armor in Whiterun who's name I forget, and he's essential. So I used console commands to turn his essential flag off, killed him, and found out that nothing happens after that. No 'you failed this quest' popping up or the game breaking because of it. The guy was pointless, and yet he was set to essential. What bullshit.

It's so stupid. It's immersion breaking, too. But, if you do kill children with mods, the death is actually voiced, and if you kill this one girl in Whiterun, then another kid will actually run up and thank you later, which leads one to assume that children were once killable at one point in the game.

Well, the girl is a complete bitch; being rude to you, saying she's not afraid of you, etc.. The kids in Dragonsreach are the worst, though.

The kid's in Dragonsreach are the Jarl's children, so they're spoiled af. They're constantly being rude, etc. etc.
