Lately I've been playing Hearts of Iron IV quite a bit. It's a World War Two strategy game and I rather enjoy it. Anyone else here like strategy games?

Total War Medieval 2. And Mount and Blade. And Dwarf Fortress, even though I can't play that for shit.
FUCK EVERYTHING ELSE! AND FUCK STARKRAFF!

I'll try those. You should try Paradox games if you're a patient type. I've never played StarCraft though.

I'll try those. You should try Paradox games if you're a patient type. I've never played StarCraft though. Starcraft is one of those "Strategy" games where the victory is decided early/mid game and the losing side spends the rest of the game waiting to die (If they're pessimists) staving off a blatantly superior force and trying to whittle them down (If they're objectivists) or making it tedious for the people who're going to win anyway. (If they're optimists) I haven't played it in a long time, but that's the general design. Creative thinking or good positioning will not, and in most cases, can not, turn the tides in anyone's favor, and in general you just have to jump through more hoops than the other guy and buy more good things in the right order, tactics varying slightly depending on who your army is.
