Because I left CYS due to the new rules and decided that I won't come back (A decision that I might go back on someday), I can't make anymore stories. I do wish to write a story that I would actually finish, but again, I'm not on CYS anymore. So, if anyone is interested in taking up the reins, here's a sci-fi story idea (that is still under construction) with three paths and a yet to be decided number of endings:
The year is 2061, and most of Earth's natural resources have been drained and the planet is almost uninhabitable. Taking the role of Arthur Wilkins, a thirty-two year old astronaut sent on a mission to across the galaxy to find a habitable planet for the humans of Earth to colonize, the player will pilot a ship with a crew of three; yourself, an engineer named Kris Jackson, and the ship's AI 'APASA 3001' (An acronym for 'Auto-Pilot And Ship Assistant version 30.0.1). Over the duration of the mission, Kris slowly goes mad and APASA begins to lose stability. At some point in the story, Kris attacks Arthur which leads to either Arthur killing him (continues with path 1), Kris killing Arthur (continues down path 2), or Arthur locking Kris in APASA's computer room (continues down path 3). This is where it gets fun.
Path 1:
After killing Kris, Arthur tosses his corpse out of the airlock and mourns the loss of his friend. APASA attempts to comfort Arthur, but hints at Arthur that he has gone corrupt. Arthur mutes APASA before he can continue, but APASA's words echo through his mind. Soon after, the ships exterior is damaged by an asteroid and Arthur goes out to fix it, only for APASA to lock the outer doors so Arthur can't get in. Arthur takes a risk and sneaks in through the airlock, and then heads to APASA's motherboard room. Upon arriving, APASA begs him not to shut him down and he has three options: Shut down APASA, reboot his system, or leave him on.
Ending 1, Shut down APASA: Arthur manually shuts down all of APASA's systems, and then sheds a tear at the thought of complete loneliness. Nonetheless, he continues on his mission and investigates the first planet, 'Planet C31201'. As he enters orbit, he goes through an acid trip-like phase and remembers who he truly is; he isn't Arthur Wilkins, the thirty-two year old astronaut, he's Arthur Wilkins, the thirty-two year old convict with Alzheimer's disease. He was sent on a ship to be exiled, along with yet another convict and a malfunctioning ship AI. Earth is fine, they just gave him a false mission so that was all he remembered. After a trippy scene in which all of Arthur's memories come flooding back to him, he lands on the planet only to find monuments of stone and a single figure in a spacesuit. He walks towards the figure and discovers that it is himself. You can insert any sort of philosophical explanation for why Arthur sees himself, I was honestly too lazy to come up with one.
NOTE: This is as far as I have gotten so far, but I will update in the next day or so.
