Talon glanced up to where he heard the call. He cawed back, then went over to Wish.

Wish chirped softly landing on the branch and giving him a mouse she caught. She chirpped going down and grabbing another mouse. She cawed and it sounded like Lets be freinds, but it was a mating call. She went back up and ate her mouse. She threw down
the bones. She cleaned Talons fur getting dust and fleas off. She placed her head on his back and rubbed it with her beak.

Talon flew down and offered Wish a plump vole he had just caught. He set it on the branch in a way it wouldn't fall off.

Vine scrabbled desperately at the tree tops to not fall down but a branch snapped and she fell down like a piece of wet paper, landing awkwardly on her wing with a distressed squak. She quickly got up, dragging her wing along the ground as she hopped on the floor of the dense forrest.

The thunderbird cautiously hops up to it and gobbles it down. The berry wasn't as tasty as the fish her mother used to give her, but she'd settle for anything right now. She spotted a hole in a tree and stalked up to it. The tree was hollow. She squeazed in to find an old abandoned nest lined with white feathers. Yes, this will do nicely. She settled in and set her wing in a comfortable position before drifting into the world of dreams.

Myrtille jumped as she saw a snake. Chirping bravely, she flew down, tucking in her wings to reach a high speed. With her small, sharp beak, she stabbed the snake and protected her human friend.
The snake hissed and snapped at Myrtille, but she swiftly avoided it. The snake slithered away.

Talon looked around. Something on the branch caught his gaze. The unfortunate squirrel was staring at them. Talon clacked his beak and the squirrel took off.

Vine had been sleeping for only a few moments when she heard Something slithering through the leaves. She tensed as a young rattler tasted the air for bodyheat and the next moment it was staring straight at the hollow where the chick was in. It's black, soulless eyes fixed on her broken wing, and it sped forward hungrily. Vine let out a flurry of chirps, squeaks and sqwauwks of distress as the snake drew closer.
