Myrtille chirped in pleasure and flew away, heading back to Alexis' campsite.
Alexis was in her tent, sleeping. Myrtille woke her up with a peck. Alexis sprung awake, gasping for breath.
"Oh, hello, Myrtille." She let the purple-crested fairywren perch on her shoulder. "You seem lively."
Myrtille chirped and flew out, perching on the tent.
Alexis quickly got dressed and followed Myrtille to Zebra's nest.
"So her eggs finally hatched, huh?" She climbed a nearby tree to get a closer look. She took out her camera at took pictures of Zebra and her hatchlings. "Wait until she sees this!" She slid back down, and Myrtille stayed near Zebra's nest to help with anything Zebra needed.

Zebra flew down and landed on Alexis' Shoulder.

Myrtille watched over the eggs.
"Hey, Zebra. Feeling well?" She held up a berry she had found on a hike near the river.

Ooc: It means "blueberry" in French. She's named that because Alexis mistook her for a blueberry when she first came to the jungle to study ornithobiology.
BIC: Myrtille chirped in greeting to the hatchlings.

Myrtille chirped in delight. She looked at the others, then she chirped to Zebra.
Alexis checked a machine that worked similarly to a phone, but didn't need wi-fi to call someone. No one had called her so far.

Alexis began to get a call. It was Dr. Oriol.
"Hello?" She said.
"Alexis, how is your studying going?" Birds could be heard chirping and squaking in the background.
"It's fine, I got some new pictures of Zebra's hatchlings." She looked up at Myrtille. "Myrtille helped me."
"Good, I can't wait to see them. Goodbye!" The phone cut off.
Alexis put the phone back into her bag. She perched Zebra on a nearby branch. "You should keep watching your hatchlings. We've got to go. Myrtille!"
Myrtille flew down, perching on Alexis' shoulder as she began to walk off.

Alexis arrived at Dr. Oriol's Lab.
"I've got the pictures you asked for!" She said, hearing nothing but an echo. Then, the noise levels rocketed as the birds began to chirp and squawk. Alexis yelled again, and Dr. Oriol walked downstairs.
"Alexis, welcome back!" Dr. Oriol greeted, quieting the birds.
"Here are the pictures," Alexis said, handing her the camera's SD card.
"Thank you," Dr. Oriol brought them to her bulky computer upstairs. She put in the card, uploaded the pictures, and gave the card back to Alexis.
"Would you like some breakfast? I made some extra muffins just in case you came."
"Sure, I'd love to." Alexis ate some muffins that Dr. Oriol had made. She packed some in her bag for later.
"I should get going," Alexis said.
"Come again soon with more pictures, chica!" Dr. Oriol waved goodbye as Alexis walked out the door.
