I haven't taken on your dare, Bluefur, but let's talk De Draconeque.

It would be great if I could just get to putting what little I have planned together, but what's most important right now, since the game is so variable and script-based, are the variables. I need to have these more or less set in stone, because they influence the entire game. Since I began the game nearly two years ago (De Milite took me such a miniscule amount of time in comparison), my ideas have changed. Case in point, for the longest time, you couldn't pick a name or sex for your character, and I was just going to be ambiguous about it. That's why, right now, I'm doing an "overhaul" of the character creation and other stats.

Here's my tentative and incomplete list so far:

Character Stats

• Name - a ten-digit name, thus using ten variables
  
• Sex - biological sex; male, female, androgynous, or sexless
  
• Color - body color; red, copper (≈ orange), gold (≈ yellow), green, blue, purple, black, silver (≈ white), crystalline
  
• Eyes - eye color; red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, brown, black, white
  
• Weapon - (breath) weapon; fire, ice, lightning, sleeping gas, poison/acid, venom, mind control, none
  
• Terminology - dragon subspecies; western, eastern, wyvern, lindworm
• Class - taxonomic "class"; reptile, mammal, avian, amphibian
  

Bodily Stats

• Strength - muscle mass, physical power, and hardiness
  
• Agility - speed, aerial mobility, and stealth
  
• Experience - weapon ability

Human Relation Stats

• Respect - authority gained from honorable actions
  
• Fear - authority gained from cruel actions
  
• Authority - calculated [.75 * (Respect + Fear)]
• Reputation - calculated [100 * (Respect - Fear) / Authority]

Mental Stats

• Morality - uh... morality...
• Stability - consistency of morality
  

Material Stats

• Hoard - measured in troy ounces (1 oz t ≈ 4 gold coins) (because of editor limits, it's capped at 4 billion oz t (19m³) of gold, and that's after a bit of scripting to double the limit)

Morals are different from reputation, even if they have their similarities.

Why don't you start working on those variables then? Or at least try working on the plot line! There are chapters and stuff!

I know morality and reputation aren't the same thing. I'm debating whether morality's worth it to include... Honestly, I do think it is.
