I tried PMs as well. They were ignored.

Well, I don't know man, but freaking out and try to overthrow the mods is a dumbass idea.

Not quite overthrow them, I mainly wished to change their minds on an issue.

The mods are stubborn. Trust me, I know.

It's hard for anyone to understand something they haven't experienced. Most of the mods don't RP, aren't newbies who don't know how to create good storygames, and the new guidelines don't effect them. You can't really blame the CYS mods. JJJ has made absolutely amazing forum games...and then kinda abandons them a couple months later...but still, he does do that kind of thing. And then I'm pretty sure he was one of the worst newbie's ever (probably bad enough to rival most of the WC fans), with his 21 games on his first day (and omg, that grammar and spelling on his posts 8+ years ago. XD).
Rather recently, Seth said that he had about 7 tabs open at once to make sure he's notified if someone replies to rps he's in. So I definitely know he does rps.
I think I heard a rumor somewhere about BerkaZerka being the creator of BHB - an entire site for roleplay - though I'm not sure how reliable that info is.
Anyway, my point is, is that at least half the mods/admins do roleplay, and they have played Freeform, and know what it's like. But, they just don't roleplay on cys - they mostly go to sites created for that purpose. As for the newbie thing, everyone was a newbie at sometime. JJJ obviously a bit worse than most, but I'm pretty sure that means he also remembers that time better than the other mods/admins, and does know what it's like to make shitty games etc.
As I've said before - it's like Spring Cleaning. Everyone hates doing it, except maybe a few of the more mature/older people. Those more mature/older people organize everyone else so it can just get done and over with. Of course, with Spring cleaning, things are going to get messier before it gets better. But, once it's done, everyone benefits from it, with a nice clean house.

Alas, I'm sure we both learned the stubborness of the mods too late.

Sadly, indeed we did.

Well, maybe someday we'll sneak an alt past their noses if the site seems worthy of such an endeavour. If not, then that's what this site and others like it are for.

Eh, the alt will probably be deleted now that I've said it, but I'm done with CYS anyway.

They might crack down on suspicious accounts now that you said it. Until 3J leaves/ dies of natural causes/becomes extremely inactive there's no chance I'm returning to CYS. Maybe afterwards if the site isn't complete garbage or a barren wasteland by then.
