Then let us deny her the infelicity she so desires.

Oh, Bluefur, we're in a good mood! Oh wait, I just realized something, she needs to eat to but I don't want to have negative emotions right now... We need a human for her to terrify.

How many humans do you suppose frequent these forums?

Plenty, but these humans are all skeptics who don't know what to fear.

How about us three? The infamous Terrible Trio of Off-Topicness?

I'm a pessimist. Actually, a half-pessimist.
I like to see those I care about happy, but everyone else... Meh. I don't care about many people, so I sometimes care too much about some.
Happiness = Naivety

Hmm... So a glass-half-pessimist kind of neko?
Ha! You think cynicism equals maturity? There are multiple sides to every situation. It's not always easy to find the positive one.

Ah, pessimism, I've indulged in that myself but I do not automatically associate happiness with naivety unless the happiness is constant with no real reason.

I sometimes think there's something seriously wrong with my head. -_- Not even joking.
But, anyways, it's just an opinion. Everyone in my class, always being so happy about such simple things, irritates me to no end. Maybe I'm a bit sadistic as well...?

Simple things like what? Do you enjoy just a little suffering here and there? There are sadistic tendencies lurking in everyone I believe, it's just a matter of it manifests.

Everyone always says I'm the "smartest person in the class", but it's not true. I'm just more mature than them. You guys haven't seen my mature side yet, which is also my more philosophical side. I almost think I have Asperger's Syndrome or something.
Either way, I just feel repulsed by them. They strive for things like "popularity", "good grades", and "appearance", but I find them naive for that. I guess I'm acting superior to them... I just can't help it.

I think I have, honestly. Sounds like a superiority complex to me!

I think quite a few feel that distinct feeling of superiority every now and then. The popularity thing is ridiculous, as a child I always let my true nature shine and watched to see who liked Mardox for Mardox and not for some brand or personality archetype.
